Without Goals You Have No Direction, A lot of people start working out without setting any concrete goals. Sure they want to get in shape but they are not specific about what they want to accomplish. They join the gym, do endless amounts of cardio and machines and hope something good happens! This rarely works. You need DIRECTION!
In order to have Direction you need to know where it is you want to go.
Then you can MAP out how to get there.

Before we can go any further, YOU need to decide EXACTLY what you want. Sit down with your Husband/Wife, boyfriend/girlfriend or friend and get them to keep asking you what you want. Do this for at least ten minutes. In the first post I told you to ask yourself WHY you want it. That will give you the desire.
Now ask what to give yourself DIRECTION.
Now after you have done that, Write down exactly what you want and when you want it by. Be very SPECIFIC! Write it on a 3X5 card. Make sure you write when you want to accomplish it by. For Example: I will lose 20lbs and be in a size 8 by August 31,2009. Make sure you use the word WILL and not Want TO.
BE SPECIFIC!
Now look yourself in the mirror and read it out loud a few times. It may feel funny the first couple of times you read it. This is normal, so don’t worry. You just don’t believe that it is possible yet. So, keep doing it until it feels ok and you start believing that it is possible and that you can actually do it.
ACCOUNTABILITY!
Now that you actually believe you can do it, I want you to tell everyone you know what you are going to accomplish and when. This is by far the most powerful thing you can do. It is very hard to do, but it really works. By telling everyone you know, you are making yourself accountable to them. Every time they see you they are going to ask how you are doing and how close you are to reaching your goal. This is going to give you a lot more motivation to stick it out and do what is necessary to reach your goals.
Now that you know What you want, Why you want it and believe that you can actually have it, it is time for me to show you the way!
